Today we had staff development and STAAR training day. To make the day more enjoyable we hosted our First Annual Chili Cook-off!! The winner was Kari Owen!!! She won the "golden bowl award"!!!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY from CISD!!! The PreK, Kindergarten and Jr High GT students visited the San Saba Nursing Home to wish them a Happy Valentine's Day. They shared cookies and presented cards. The students ended their visit by singing "Your Are My Sunshine" to the residents!!

Hello Jr High and High School families: The Hill Country Child Advocacy Center will be on our campus Tuesday, February 7th, and will use the Play It Safe program to host two separate presentations about healthy vs abusive relationships; one for middle school and the other for high school. This has been approved by CISD SHAC and will meet some of Senate Bill 9 requirements for schools. Hello Elementary Families, The Hill Country Child Advocacy Center will be on our campus Thursday, February 9th, and will use the Play It Safe program to host six age-appropriate and separate presentations at each elementary grade level; Pre-K through 5th grade. These presentations are about helping children recognize and stay safe from abusive situations. The Play It Safe program has been approved by CISD SHAC and will meet some of Senate Bill 9 requirements for schools. Due to the precipitation, freezing temperatures, and road conditions, Cherokee ISD will remain closed for Thursday, 2/2/23. There will be no basketball games on Thursday. Stay safe and warm!!

Due to the winter weather forecast and icy roads, Cherokee ISD will be closed on Wednesday, 2/1/23. We will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions. We will keep you posted concerning plans for Thursday.
