The Cherokee Indians Bi-District playoff game vs the Zephyr Bulldogs will be Friday, Nov 10th at 7:00pm in San Saba. We are the visitors. Come out and cheer on our Mighty Indians!!!

Don’t forget!!!! FFA Hallow-weenie roast! Tomorrow night, Oct. 30th, 6 p.m. in the old gym. Anyone in Mr. Newman’s, Mr. New’s, or Mrs. New’s classes, Jr. FFA members and families, faculty and staff are invited!!! We will serve hot dogs and everyone needs to bring a side or dessert! We have Lots of fun Halloween games and a costume contest planned so wear your best!!!
CISD area has received a lot of rain in a short amount of time. We will have a regular start but please be smart and safe coming to school. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads or bridges.
Pink-Out pep rally for JH and HS this Thursday at 3:50 in old gym! JH game @ Brookesmith at 6pm Thursday. Varsity plays Brookesmith at Home on Friday @ 7:30. Pink-Out for both games!!
Junior and Senior Parents/Guardians: The college fair at Marble Falls scheduled for this Thursday is canceled as we are approaching the end of the 6 weeks.
Everyone is invited to attend the annual Cherokee Fall Festival on Oct. 28th beginning at 4:30 on the football field, 4:30pm-5pm Costume Contest Check in, 5pm-6:30pm Games, Silent Auction and Food. Game tickets are 25¢ each and the Meal Deal is $6 for a bowl of chili or soup, a slice of cornbread and tea. 6:30 pm is Zombies vs Humans Game. This year we will have Trunk or Treat on campus where you decorate your trunk and hand out candy when the festival has ended (helpful to those who live far out but want to participate) then kid will leave to do the customary door to door Trick or Treating.

CISD is all set for the partial eclipse on Saturday, 10/14/23. Thanks to the San Saba Chamber of Commerce every student and staff member is going home with a pair of eclipse glasses for this event!!

Reminder- Advanced Floral Design will be creating a”floral design of the month” for the months of Sept.-April. Designs will be $20 each if ordered individually. If you would like to pre-purchase, we are offering 4- fall designs for $60, 4-Spring designs for $60, or all 8 designs for $120. Please contact Mrs. New, knew@cherokeeisd.net for order forms or more information. All design will be created by the students and designs may be slightly different due to the designers choice. Due to homecoming we are late getting September’s design out, but here’s “You’ve been mugged”.
