J. C. Landon Scholarship The J.C. Landon Testamentary Trust is providing scholarships for deserving students. Applicants must plan to attend full-time Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas in pursuit of an undergraduate degree.

Sports in Action For the third consecutive year, H-E-B will award 15 high school seniors who participated in UIL competitions with a $2,000 scholarship in recognition of their community service and involvement in their communities. Application deadline is Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at 11:59pm

Association for Compensatory Educators of Texas (ACET) This application is for students who have participated at least two years in a federal or state funded compensatory program.

Texas Department of Transportation Conditional Grant Application The Conditional Grant Program is available to eligible students pursuing a degree in engineering or a TxDOT-approved operational business discipline. The Conditional Grant Program will consider both Texas public and private four-year institutions. Students accepted into the program receive up to $4,000 per semester or $8,000 per academic year, based on financial need.

TAAIS Memorial Foundation Scholarship The Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society (TAAIS) Memorial Foundation is pleased to announce the 2020 TAAIS Memorial Foundation Asthma Scholarship Award. This $3,000 one-time award will be granted to up to five qualified and deserving high school seniors in Texas who are diagnosed with Asthma.

San Saba County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship The "Young Civic Leadership Scholarship" seeks to give financial assistance in the amount of $1,500.00 to a student who plans to enter a related profession with an interest in civic leadership, during their first semester in college.

West Central Wireless College Scholarship West Central Wireless offers a college scholarships in the amount of $2,000.00 each to assist graduating high school seniors who desire to further their education.

Capital Farm Credit ***Applications can be submitted to CFC's Scholarship Committee until March 29, 2024.

Capital Farm Credit awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors across its market territories.

Youth scholarships are awarded using the following eligibility requirements:

1. Funds shall be used to attend an accredited vocational or technical school, college or university. 
Student must maintain full time status.

2. Applicants must be high school seniors, graduating within the current school year. 

3. Applicant must demonstrate that they have a tentative educational plan and goals, related to 
fields in agriculture or natural resources (may include Ag Communications, Ag 
Economics/Business, Ag Education, Wildlife or Ranch Management, etc.).

4. Applicants must include the following documents for consideration: 
a. Completed application along with copy of recent high school transcript
b. 2 letters of recommendation

Texas Farm Bureau Opportunities Deadline March 1, 2024 by midnight

The scholarship application process is online through a portal called MyTFB. All information for the scholarships can be found on the Texas Farm Bureau website under the Youth Opportunities page. The direct link is https://texasfarmbureau.org/youth/youth-opportunities/

All students applying for the scholarships must be a member of a Texas Farm Bureau family, with membership remaining current during the duration of the scholarship. To become a Texas Farm Bureau member go to the following link: https://my.texasfarmbureau.org. Click “Create Account" and "Don’t have a Membership?" on the MyTFB website.

Central Texas Farm Credit  All scholarship application materials must be received by March 8, 2024 at 4 p.m.

This is a local scholarship open only to students in a 19 county territory that includes San Saba County. Five (5) one-time scholarships in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded. Student must pursue an agricultural related degree. These include but are not limited to: agricultural business, agricultural economics, animal science, agricultural education, etc. Student must be accepted to a junior college, community college, or four-year university. All required documents must be submitted electronically to scholarships@ranchmoney.com.

Joseph (Joey) Lee Tharp Scholarship- Joey Tharp graduated Salutatorian from Richland Springs High School in 2001. During his high school career, he excelled both academically and athletically. He was a natural leader in his class and exemplified the best qualities that a high school student can offer.
