To try to mitigate the spread of the COVID virus on campus we will close school on Monday 1/17/22 and Tuesday 1/18/22. This will allow 5 days to try to contain it. All basketball games for this week and for Tues. 1/18 have been postponed. (make up dates to be determined)

As we have several students out this week, we are going to postpone our awards ceremony scheduled for Thursday. We will announce the new date soon. For the health and safety of our students and staff, jr high and elementary students will not be attending the UIL meet on Friday. We will send another notification IF this week's basketball games are canceled/postponed.
Our monthly PTC Meeting has been changed for January. The new date is 1/17/2022 at 4:30pm in the school cafeteria.
Parents and Community Members-
I hope this email finds you well. I am reaching out to you at this time as we need your assistance. Per recent legislation, as a district, we need to adopt a human sexuality curriculum for K-12. As part of this process, we need your feedback. Our aim is to have a meeting in the cafeteria on January 31, at 6 pm. We would love to have you in attendance.

Attention Parents: There is a time change for next week's Jr High game on Thursday, 12/16/21 in Brookesmith. Girls will play at 5:00pm and boys will play 6:00pm.
Basketball Update: 11/22/2021 Varsity Girls vs. San Saba @ Cherokee start time is 6pm. JHG & JHB vs. Rochelle away game beginning @ 6pm.

Attention Cherokee Family-
For No Shave November, we have decided to donate to the Testicular Cancer Foundation in honor of Cranfills Gap's football player, Trenton, who recently recovered. We have several staff & students participating. If you would like to support them, please send your donation with your student up until Thanksgiving break.

**The school and community of Cherokee will be without electricity on Nov. 9, 2021, 9am-Noon. K-12th grade will be going to a movie in Llano and have a picnic at the park during this time. A note with information and permission slip will be sent home with all students TODAY.
