Hello Jr High and High School families:
The Hill Country Child Advocacy Center will be on our campus Tuesday, February 7th, and will use the Play It Safe program to host two separate presentations about healthy vs abusive relationships; one for middle school and the other for high school.
This has been approved by CISD SHAC and will meet some of Senate Bill 9 requirements for schools. (https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/872/billtext/html/SB00009F.htm)
Students who return their Opt In forms will meet in the cafeteria:
MS - 7th period; 2:18 - 3:15
HS - 8th period: 3:18 - 4:10

Hello Elementary Families,
The Hill Country Child Advocacy Center will be on our campus Thursday, February 9th, and will use the Play It Safe program to host six age-appropriate and separate presentations at each elementary grade level; Pre-K through 5th grade. These presentations are about helping children recognize and stay safe from abusive situations.

Only those students who turn in an Opt In form signed by a parent will be allowed to attend.

Due to the precipitation, freezing temperatures, and road conditions, Cherokee ISD will remain closed for Thursday, 2/2/23. There will be no basketball games on Thursday. Stay safe and warm!!
Due to the winter weather forecast and icy roads, Cherokee ISD will be closed on Wednesday, 2/1/23. We will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions. We will keep you posted concerning plans for Thursday.
Due to inclement weather and anticipated road conditions, Cherokee ISD will be closed on Tuesday, 1/31/23. We are planning for a delayed start at 10:00am on Wednesday, 2/1/23. Breakfast will not be served on a late start. We will continue to monitor the weather conditions and send a notification if anything changes.

Due to inclement weather conditions, tonight's varsity basketball games in Lohn have been canceled. Thursday's jr high games in Brookesmith have been changed to accommodate varsity schedules. JrH girls play at 4:00pm and boys at 5:00pm in Brookesmith.
Because of the upcoming winter weather, Tuesday’s game with Lohn has been moved to Monday night at Lohn. Varsity Girls start at 6:00 pm. Varsity Boys to follow.
Stop by the office and pick up a form if you are interesting in joining the San Saba Youth Association Softball League. You must be ages 8-14. Registration deadline is 2/3/2023 and cost is $65.00 per person.
