Registration for New and Returning students will be from 4pm-6pm next Thursday 7.24.25 in the cafeteria for Pre K-12th grade! Students will also be able to pick up their class schedules. Registration will be completed online through ParentPortal. You can start early from your home or wait until you are at school. Go to our website at www.cherokeeisd.net, click on “Registration and Parent Portal” to begin. Each student has a unique Student Portal ID. Please contact the office if you need portal ids for your children (325) 622-4298. We would appreciate all parent/guardian and students attendance so schedules and forms that require signatures can be completed then. New student registrations will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate, social security card, shot records and previous school records. We will also be having Open House/Meet the Teacher on Thursday, July 31st at 5:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

Cherokee ISD is HIRING!!
Thanks to the recent safety grant, the district has installed a new wind screen on the exterior fencing—a recommendation made by our School Safety Committee.
This enhancement not only improves visibility control but also adds an extra layer of protection for our students and staff.
We're committed to continuously finding new ways to enhance the safety and security across our district. 💙

We will have a PTC meeting on Monday, 5/12/25 at 4:30 in the cafeteria.
PreK Enrollment is 5/12/25, 4:30-5:30. Must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2025.
On April 8th at 6pm in the school cafeteria, Cherokee ISD will host their Academic Night. This evening is intended for students and their families in grades 8-11. In this meeting, we will discuss 8th grade graduation plans and programs offered next year at the high school in order to prepare students and families for the upcoming course selection. Next week is not a typical school week. Just want to make you aware of a few activities and dismissal times. Monday 3/31 - PTC Mtg at 4:30pm and Booster Club Mtg at 5:15pm. Both meetings will be held in the cafeteria.
Tuesday 4/1- Early dismissal at 12:00pm. JH District Track Meet and HS Prelims in Priddy.
Wednesday 4/2 Regular school day.
Thursday 4/3- Regular school day and HS District Track Meet in Zephyr.
Friday 4/4- Early dismissal at 2:15pm.
Elementary will have our 4th six-week awards assembly on Friday, March 21, at 1:45 in the cafeteria. Students will be dismissed immediately following the completion of the assembly.
The Elementary Awards scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2025, have been postponed. A new date will be set after Spring Break.
The Cherokee Indians will take on the Abbott Panthers for a Bi-District play-off game on Monday, 2/17/25, at 6:00pm in Hamilton. LET'S GO BLUE!!

The Bi-District play-off between the Cherokee Lady Indians and the Abbott Lady Panthers will be Tuesday, 2/11/25, in Hamilton at 8:00pm. We are the home team. Let's Go Lady Indians!!!
The Lady Indians will take on the Brookesmith Mustangs for a Play-In for the Play-offs. The game will be in Zephyr on Friday, 2/7/2025, at 8:00pm. Go Lady Indians!!! We are visitors.
