The state of Texas requires that schools exclude from attendance any students with a fever of 100° or higher. Students may not return to school until fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever suppressing medications. This means a student who is sent home from school with a fever may not return to school the following morning. Cherokee ISD is required by state law to follow this rule.

If your student will be taking the test, the $17 payment (cash or check made payable to Cherokee ISD) is due first thing tomorrow morning. Parents will be receiving STAAR results in the mail in the next week or so. In the meantime parents may access their child’s STAAR results by going to TexasAssessment.gov. You will need to use the look-up feature to get your child’s access code if you do not have the code.
There will be a Special Called Board Meeting June 17, 2019, 3:00 pm, to open and accept proposals for the building of the new gymnasium. The meeting will be held in the Administrative Offices of Cherokee ISD.
