  • Cherokee ISD has teamed up with School Messenger to improve our notification system to parents. Parents have been receiving letters from the district describing this new service. A text went out from School Messenger yesterday asking parents to opt-in. The law requires you to consent before you can receive text messaging. If you do not opt-in, you will receive no further text messages. You may text y to 68453, this will opt you in as well.
Please call us wtih any concerns that you have. Your child's safety is important to us.

  • Safe School Helpline
To help make Cherokee ISD a safe place for our students and staff, we have subscribe to a service called Safe School Helpline. This will allow anyone to report bullying, and potential wrongdoing. This report may be done by Internet, phone or text. Please see the section at the bottom of the page to access this service. This service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We will be sending more information to parents.

  • V-Response Alert Sign-up
As a part of our security grant received through the Education Service Center, we are allowed to send alerts through text messaging and e-mail. The alerts could be reminders (school releasing early, no school tomorrow, etc.) or group emergency messages (no school due to icy conditions, school start late, school closing because of some emergency, etc.) The sign-up information sheet was sent home with report cards. If you failed to return yours, we would encourage you to do so immediately. We have attached a sign-up sheet for you to return to the school. Parents, Guardians, Grandparents, etc. that need updates may sign-up. Please call us if you would like additional information. Alert Information Sheet
