  • Cherokee ISD will hold board elections on November 4, 2014. 
    Candidates that filed for a place on the ballot are:
    Place 1  - Jerry Randolph
    Place 2 - Coney Hanley
    Place 6 - Rita Boultinghouse and Glenda McKneely 
    Place 3 (Unexpired Term) - Travis Shannon and Stacy Everett

  • Staff Changes for 2014-2015 school year. Cherokee ISD is pleased to announce the hiring of Barbara Irick Stockon as a Teacher/Dean of Students and Thomas Kelly as Middle School Teacher. Ms. Stockon will be returning to the district from Lipan ISD. Mr. Kelly lives in Llano and will begin his first year as a teacher, formerly a DPS officer. We welcome these to our district. 
    Wes Harris has chose to leave the district to go to Taft HS as Ag Teacher and Ms. Karla Owens will be leaving for Mason ISD. We wish them well.

  • Cherokee ISD welcomes new staff for 2014-2015 school year. Jack and Annette Shely will be joining the Cherokee staff from Hedley, Tx. Jack will serve as Football Coach and Teacher/Coach for the district. Coach Shely teaches Social Studies. Annette will be teaching in the system. Annette is a English and Reading Teacher.
    Rick Lasley is returning to Cherokee system from San Saba. He will serve as a Math Teacher and Coach. He will be serving as the Girls Basketball Coach.
    Cherokee ISD welcomes these additions to our staff.
    Stephany Eoff will be leaving the district at the end of the year to teach in the Goldthwaite System. Bear and Kasey Chesley will be leaving the district for Wilson ISD. Rene Cantu is leaving for Evant ISD. Good Luck to each of you in your new endeavor.

    Cherokee ISD has teamed up with School Messenger to improve our notification system to parents. Parents have been receiving letters from the district describing this new service. A text went out from School Messenger yesterday asking parents to opt-in. The law requires you to consent before you can receive text messaging. If you do not opt-in, you will receive no further text messages. You may text y to 68453, this will opt you in as well.
    Please call us wtih any concerns that you have. Your child's safety is important to us.
